Nintendo has revealed the first in a line of post-launch limited-time events coming to Pokemon Pokopia, and this one will give you the facility to recruit and befriend a Generation 2 Grass/Flying trio.
As outlined in a news post, the first Pokemon Pokopia limited-time event will begin on March 9th, which is just four days after the game's release. It'll introduce a new resource, Cotton, which should give you a clue as to which Pokemon will be added.
The event, "More Spores for Hoppip", will, as you've probably guessed by now, give you the chance to make friends with Grass/Flying-type Hoppip, as well as its evolved forms Skiploom and Jumpluff.
As well as the three aforementioned Pokemon, you'll also be able to obtain "picnic-themed furniture items" by gathering cotton spores, and creating new habitats with these items will stand you in good stead with Skiploom and Jumpluff.
You'll need to have rebuilt your Pokemon Center in Pokemon Pokopia to take advantage of this event, and the three 'mons won't be available outside of the event either, so make sure that you befriend them while you can. It runs until March 24th.
