Ubisoft Blesses Assassin's Creed Fans With Remake Confirmation and Unity 60 FPS Patch

A few days after Ubisoft announced that veteran Assassin's Creed writer and creative director Jean Guesdon would be taking a new leadership position for the franchise as Head of Content, Guesdon took time out today to shed light on the future for the AC franchise in 2026 and beyond.

Guesdon first acknowledged fan frustration and scrutiny with the franchise following recent controversial decisions and assured players that Ubisoft will now "maintain a clear, consistent dialogue about our vision. One that fully embraces the franchise's roots and DNA while also pushing towards innovation and exciting new experiences for you to discover."

The new Head of Content then delved into what fans can expect from older AC titles, with Assassin's Creed Shadows only getting smaller, less frequent updates this year, while Assassin's Creed Unity will receive a free 60 FPS patch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms tomorrow.

The rest of Guesdon's announcements focused on upcoming AC titles, those that have been previously confirmed to be in development, and those that haven't been confirmed until now.
