Bungie's extraction shooter Marathon, which launches later today, could be getting PS4 and Xbox One ports, if the game's recently-revealed ESRB rating is anything to go by.
The ESRB's website hands Marathon a Teen rating for "animated blood, language, and violence", but those elements probably aren't too intense, otherwise the game would have found itself with a more prohibitive limitation rating-wise.
However, the interesting part of the rating is the "platforms" section, which lists the three platforms we already know Marathon is coming to - that's the PC, the PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series X|S, in case you need a reminder - as well as the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
It's worth putting a pretty hefty caveat on this, which is as follows: the ESRB rating for Marathon might just be a placeholder that made it through to the final release, and so the PS4 and Xbox One were listed as platforms on a sort of just-in-case basis.
However, if the rating is accurate, then it means Bungie is currently working on porting Marathon to last-gen platforms as well, which would certainly give the game more potential players to draw...
