Nintendo may have accidentally confirmed that Mario Kart World is going to be updated soon (presumably on Mario Day), but it's not exactly the most exciting addition.
As if Mario fans didn't have enough to be excited about already, we're just a few days away from March 10, also known as Mario Day (Mar10, get it?). Nintendo usually celebrates Mario Day with some announcements and updates to existing games, but we don't actually know what it's got planned for us this year.
One of the most reasonable assumptions is some kind of update to Mario Kart World, which is unarguably the biggest Mario game to have released recently. While most of us are hoping that World gets some proper DLC, it looks like what Nintendo has planned is on the smaller scale, and it seems to have accidentally leaked it ahead of time.
As pointed out by My Nintendo News and highlighted by Redditor Alleywr on the Mario Kart World subreddit, Nintendo recently shared a news post about an upcoming Mario Kart World Open Series that starts on March 5 and runs until March 25, conveniently right through to Mario Day.
