For The Billionth Time, We're Being Reassured That The KOTOR Remake Is "Still In Development"

Where to even begin with the KOTOR remake? It was announced almost five years ago now, with a short cinematic teaser. And that's it. No, seriously, we haven't heard anything else since then - aside from the fact that it's changed developers.

Now, we're once again being reassured that the KOTOR remake exists and is in active development. This time, the reassurance comes from the chief creative officer of Saber Interactive, the second developer to take the reins on the project.

This comes from an interview with IGN, in which Tim Willits, the CCO at Saber Interactive, was asked for some kind of update on the ill-fated project. If you wanted specific details, don't hold your breath.

“Yes, it is still in development. That's all I can say," he tells IGN. No, we don't get anymore than that - it still exists, and that's all we're getting for now.

What is amusing is that this is the line we've heard non-stop since the remake was announced in 2021. Whenever fans get worried, or if someone remotely close to the project is interviewed, we're told KOTOR remake is still in development.
