If, like many of us, you were starting to believe that the long-awaited Knights of the Old Republic remake was dead and gone, then Saber Interactive's Tim Willits has some news for you: it's actually still in development.
In a recent interview with IGN, Willits confirmed that the game is still in the works, but that the fact its existence continues is "all [he] can say". It's not much, but for now, it seems as though the project isn't dead, at the very least.
The Knights of the Old Republic remake was originally revealed all the way back in September 2021 as part of a PlayStation showcase, and at the time, porting studio Aspyr Media was set to take the reins on the project.
Following the project's announcement, the Knights of the Old Republic remake was delayed indefinitely in the summer of 2022, and in August that same year, Aspyr was taken off the project officially, with Saber Interactive stepping up to take over development.
Fears began to mount again in 2023, however, when Sony and Saber's then-parent company Embracer began scrubbing all evidence of the KotOR remake from the internet, including trailers and social media posts.
