Capcom has launched a website you can use to compare your time with Resident Evil Requiem to everyone else's. You can also check out the combined totals that track everything everyone has done so far during the game's first ten days on the market, and turns out we've been collectively playing Requiem for more than 10,000 years.
Resident Evil Net breaks down Requiem by the numbers, and while you need to enter details to confirm you've played through the game at least once if you want to see everything, there's a standard, spoiler-free version of the site that details some incredible numbers. Chief among them is our combined play time, which, at the time of typing this, stands at 11,171 years, 25 days, 15 hours, six minutes, and 51 seconds.
When I first saw that figure this morning, I assumed I had read it wrong. Then I did the math. We already know that Requiem has sold five million copies - probably quite a few more than that by now. If each of those five million players spent 18 hours in Requiem, then that would equate to more than 10,000 years' worth of gaming. Unbelievable, but accurate.
