Pokopia Reminds Switch 2 Owners They Have Mouse Controls, And You Really Should Be Using Them

Pokemon Pokopia has taken the world by storm these past few days, and one of the only real strikes against it is how time-consuming some of its tasks can be. What a lot of Pokopia's early adopters don't seem to have remembered is that the Switch 2 has mouse controls, and using them makes a lot of those time-consuming tasks far easier.

Each new Nintendo console has a gimmick that's hyped at launch and then typically forgotten about within six months. For the Switch 2, that gimmick was that its Joy-Con double as mice. Pop them connector-down on any surface and, provided you're playing a mouse-compatible game, you'll activate the console's mouse controls.

A few people tried it out in Metroid Prime 4, and Drag x Drive, which feels like it was made specifically for these mouse controls, came and went without much fanfare. However, Pokopia has mouse controls, something you might not have realized since they weren't really shown off during the build to its release, and players have been demonstrating various ways they can make mundane tasks fly by.
