Resident Evil Requiem is well on track to become one of, if not the most successful, Resident Evil games of all time. It registered astonishing Steam player numbers, series-best review scores, and sold over five million copies in a matter of days.
To celebrate, the game's director, Koshi Nakanishi, released a heartfelt message to fans, teasing the game's future, which included DLC, a photo mode, a mini game, and a "surprise" coming in May.
Nakanishi's message started off by thanking fans for their support of the five-million-selling title, before delving into what the future holds.
Alongside vowing to continue fixing any bugs and performance issues that may arise in the game, Nakanishi shared that the "much-requested" photo mode is inbound, along with another surprise "coming around May."
In the hopes of living up to Requiem's glowing reception, Nakanishi also shared that the team planned to add a mini game, which he may or may not have teased in the video.
During a small skit in which he discards some memes, there is an image of the player character sitting opposite Victor Gideon, playing a Resident Evil-themed card game. Of course, this could just be another meme...
