Resident Evil Requiem is performing very well, having registered the highest review scores for an original entry in the series for more than 20 years, and selling more than five million copies at launch. Its success has also had a knock-on effect for the games that came before it, as half of the top ten best-selling games on the UK physical chart last week were Resident Evil titles.
While it isn't necessarily representative of sales as a whole, physical game sales in the UK are often used as a barometer for how new games are performing since the numbers are shared every week. Last week's top ten has been shared by Push Square, and not only is Resident Evil Requiem on top, but four other Resident Evil games have joined it.
