Arrowhead and Sony have announced the next Helldivers 2 Warbond, and it's bringing distinctly World War I-era vibes via new outfits and weaponry next week.
As outlined in a PlayStation Blog post, the Entrenched Division Warbond is out on March 17th, and while Helldivers 2 isn't really built around trench warfare, the new equipment coming your way might make you think twice about that.
The first new weapon is the B/FLAM-80 Cremator, which, as the name suggests, is a powerful flamethrower capable of burning everything in your path. Of course, since this is Helldivers 2, that includes your squadmates, so be careful you don't light them up as well.
Since the vibe this time around also appears to be fiery, the new SMG/FLAM-34 submachine gun augments the flamethrower's devastation with an incineration attachment, as well as iron sights for more precise aiming.
A new Sentry, the A/GM-17 Gas Mortar Sentry, will flood the area it targets with gas clouds, but of course, that means any of your friends caught in the blast zone will inevitably take damage as well. Be sure to warn them before you fire!
