Epic Hikes Fortnite V-Bucks Prices "to Help Pay the Bills" | TechRaptor

Epic says it's raising the cost of V-Bucks bundles in phenomenally popular battle royale shooter Fortnite, and it's all down to the fact that running the game apparently costs much more than it used to.

In a news post on the official Fortnite website, Epic says that the cost of keeping Fortnite alive "has gone up a lot", and so it must raise V-Bucks bundle prices "to help pay the bills". The price changes will go into effect starting from March 19th.

Although V-Bucks are becoming more expensive, there will be a number of changes to compensate; for instance, battle passes will go down in price, although you'll also be getting less (fewer?) V-Bucks as part of a Fortnite Crew membership as well.

The new prices for V-Bucks will be as follows. As a reminder, these prices kick in next week, so you've still got a week or so to hoard while you can.

If you're making these purchases through the Epic Games Store or any of Epic's mobile payment systems, you'll get 20% of your purchase back as credit, which can then be used pretty much anywhere within Epic's proprietary gaming ecosystem.
