The FBI Sending Grace To Wrenwood Alone In Resident Evil Requiem Wasn't An Oversight, It Was Part Of Gideon's Plan All Along

It was pretty strange in Resident Evil Requiem that Grace Ashcroft, an FBI data analyst with zero field experience, was sent to Wrenwood — the site of her mother's death — without backup. The only reason she even had a gun is because she bought one.

You wouldn't be alone in thinking that something must be up with her boss, Dempsey, and that he was somehow in on it, but the story never unpacks that idea. Then comes the ending where Grace is back in the office writing a report for him. So, what gives?

Well, as it turns out, there's an easy-to-miss detail on one of the ARK monitors that reveals Victor Gideon planned everything, right down to exploiting the "relevant parties" into sending Grace all alone to the hotel.

When you finally reach the archives in the underground Raccoon City lab, your instinct is likely to rush over and interact with the giant monitor, but if you look closely, you'll see a convenient flowchart left open that details exactly how Victor Gideon orchestrated the events of the game.
