Scott Pilgrim EX's frustrating softlocks and bugged achievements have been addressed in the game's first major update, making both completing and 100 percenting the game much easier.
For the most part, Scott Pilgrim EX is a brilliant sequel to the original beat 'em up classic that shows just how far Tribute Games has come in the past few years. One notable issue with the game that I and many others have run into while playing it over the last week, though, is a surprising number of bugs and glitches.
Many players have reported getting softlocked in Scott Pilgrim EX (particularly in Quest 6) and having to restart their save or go through an annoying fix just to progress in the game. Others (including myself) have had issues getting various trophies to pop despite following the instructions clearly, something that's hopefully been fixed in the latest update.
Earlier today, Tribute Games shared some noticeably lengthy patch notes for Scott Pilgrim EX's first update, which has now been "approved". That update addresses a lot of issues, including fixing "multiple soft locks during quest progression" and even adding a save game fix system to unblock anyone who has been locked off.
