A reliable insider has claimed that a first-party Xbox studio was working on a Fallout game of some kind, but that it's likely been cancelled and won't "see the light of day".
Considering how much Fallout goodness the Amazon TV show has given us over the past two years, it's a little wild that Xbox and Bethesda haven't tried capitalising on it with a new game like literally everyone wants. As New Vegas proved more than a decade ago, it doesn't even need to be Bethesda, as there are plenty of studios at Xbox who would easily jump on a new Fallout.
And yet, that's not what happened at all. Fallout's second season came and went without anything in the gaming space save for a Fallout 76 update, and the rumoured remakes are nowhere to be seen. That seemingly wasn't the plan, though, as a reliable reporter has claimed that a new Fallout game was in fact in development at one of Xbox's studios.
