How Pokopia Stacks Up Against Other Pokemon Spinoffs After Selling 2.2 Million Copies In Four Days

The first indicator of just how many of us have been playing Pokemon Pokopia is here, after the new spinoff has dominated the internet for the past week. Despite the supply of its physical copies failing to meet demand, Pokopia sold 2.2 million copies in just four days, which means it's well on its way to becoming the best-selling Pokemon spinoff ever.

Pokemon games almost always sell big numbers. The original games sold more than 30 million copies, and even Scarlet & Violet, the Gen 9 games that fans infamously slated, have sold 28 million copies and counting. Its spinoffs sell in the millions, too, but typically not in the tens of millions, as the best-selling Pokemon spinoff to date is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red/Blue Rescue Team, which sold 5.85 million copies.

That's according to Serebii's Joe Merrick. Merrick shared an updated list of how well every Pokemon spinoff has sold in the wake of Pokopia selling 2.2 million copies in four days.
