GreedFall: The Dying World Didn't Impress Critics, But It's Launched To Mostly Positive User Reviews

GreedFall: The Dying World launched on PC earlier this week and is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S today. It comes after a year and a half in early access, which didn't go down great with those who checked it out.

Fans of the first game wouldn't have been reassured when the critical reviews came in either. Launching to a 65 on Metacritic - compared to a 72 for the original - many reviewers took issue with the gameplay and complained about bugs.

However, most players appear to be more forgiving, because its Steam reviews have gone from mixed to mostly positive.

Taking a look at the recent user reviews for GreedFall: The Dying World, it looks like those checking it out are pleased by the improvements made during early access.

"11 hours in and I'm having a great time," reads a user review. "The game gives you interesting choices, and it's clear to see how they might affect the world around you, while still managing to catch you off guard sometimes. The worldbuilding reminds me of both Dragon Age and the Witcher series, with in-depth development of each nation."
