Pokemon Pokopia Sales Surpass 2m in First Four Days | TechRaptor

Nintendo has announced that Pokemon Pokopia, the latest spinoff from the hugely popular creature-collecting franchise, has passed a major sales milestone, and it only took the game four days to get there.

According to a press release, Pokemon Pokopia has sold over two million copies; specifically, the game managed to surpass 2.2 million sales within the first four days of its launch, with a million of those units being sold in Nintendo's native Japan.

This sales data comes from Nintendo itself rather than a third-party analyst, so it's pretty reliable. Naturally, that figure includes both physical and digital sales, but since Pokemon Pokopia is only available on Switch 2, there aren't any other platforms to worry about.

In case you haven't heard of Pokemon Pokopia, it's a cozy life sim-style spinoff from the main Pokemon franchise. Released exclusively for Switch 2 last week, the game sees the player take control of a Ditto in humanoid form, building a habitat for Pokemon to live in.
