KPop Demon Hunters exploded onto the scene last year, becoming one of the biggest films of the year, and even making its way to that year's Thanksgiving Day parade. It would have been absolutely bonkers not to get a sequel, and even though Netflix can be kind of iffy about greenlighting popular things, even they've decided that a sequel is a good idea.
In a tweet on the official Netflix Twitter account, it was finally confirmed that KPop Demon Hunters is officially getting a sequel, with the directors of the first movie, Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, returning to direct.
"I feel immense pride as a Korean filmmaker that the audience wants more from this Korean story and our Korean characters," says Kang. "There’s so much more to this world we have built, and I’m excited to show you. This is only the beginning."
