A New Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered Update Has Added Everything But A Platinum Trophy

Longtime gamers know just how amazing the original Tomb Raider trilogy on the original PlayStation, which made it especially awesome when Aspyr announced and then released a remaster of the iconic games back in 2024, bringing them to modern platforms with modern sensibilities in the form of Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered Trilogy.

However, if there is one gripe about the game, it's the fact that it launched without a Platinum trophy. Specifically, the title, which was a dual release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, mysteriously did not have a Platinum trophy for the PS5 version, but did have three individual Platinum trophies for each of the three games on the PS4 version.

The medium has changed so much in the past three decades - for better and for worse.

In other words, you can unlock all 268 Trophies in the game, and still not end up with a Platinum, and we all know how serious Trophy hunters are about their Platinums.

Things are serious enough in the scene that the owner of PSNProfiles, the largest Trophy tracking forum around, recently announced that shovelware would soon stop being counted.

Yeah, we still can't explain that one either....
