BAFTA Game Awards Snubs Battlefield 6 in Multiplayer Category

The awards season for last year's titles isn't over yet, as the 2026 British Academy Games Awards (or simply the BAFTA Game Awards) has revealed its full list of nominees, bringing a few surprises, both positive and negative.

Starting on the positive (and somewhat expected) side, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 emerges as the most nominated game on the list, with 12 nods out of 17 categories in total.

Sandfall Interactive’s highly acclaimed title is competing in some of the most coveted categories, such as Best Game and Narrative, as well as the more unique awards like Artistic Achievement and New Intellectual Property. Furthermore, as the game has already become the most-awarded title of all time, it is set to further distance itself from Elden Ring, which previously held that record.

In second place for most nominations is the episodic adventure Dispatch, with 9 nods and a very strong presence in technical and performance categories like Animation, Artistic Achievement, and acting (featuring Aaron Paul and Jeffrey Wright in the voice cast).

Rounding out the top three is Ghost of Yōtei with 8 appearances in total, being recognized primarily for its technical quality in Game Design, Animation, and others.
