Next Week, Fortnite Fans Will Boycott The Game In Response To The V-Bucks Price Hikes

If there's one thing that gamers do better than anyone else, it's making their voices heard. Whether that's through an old-fashioned "Review Bomb," or by simply choosing not to purchase something by voting with their wallets, gamers are never shy about making their voices heard. If all goes to plan, Fortnite is about to find out.

That's because, as first spotted by PC Gamer, Fortnite players are organizing a boycott of the game in response to Epic Games' decision to increase the prices of V-Bucks, the free-to-play live-service battle royale's primary currency.

Officially titled "You cut our V-bucks, We cut your funding," the boycott is meant to coincide with the scheduled date for these price increases to take place, March 19.

A Change.org petition, which has 1,156 signatures at the time of writing, has also been established. All these efforts in hopes that Epic Games could rethink its decision before it goes into effect.

Wildlight Entertainment has confirmed that Highguard will being offline next week.
