Developer and publisher Capcom has announced that its latest survival horror adventure Resident Evil Requiem has smashed another sales barrier, and it's broken a franchise record in the process.
In a press release, Capcom reveals that Resident Evil Requiem has passed six million sales, which marks the fastest a Resident Evil game has ever reached this milestone. For reference, it took Resident Evil Village about two years to reach eight million, and it looks like Requiem is going to break that record as well.
This new sales figure also means that Resident Evil Requiem has managed to rack up another million sales for itself since the beginning of the month, so while sales are slowing down somewhat (as you'd expect after the game's launch period), it looks like this will be another tidy little earner for Capcom.
News of Resident Evil Requiem's latest sales milestone also comes shortly after Capcom announced last week that the game will be getting a story DLC expansion at some point in the future, as well as a brand new minigame and a hotly-anticipated photo mode.
If you're not familiar with Resident Evil Requiem, it's the latest mainline entry in the Resident Evil series...
