Resident Evil Requiem Is The Fastest Selling Game In The Series, Capcom Promises More Content

Resident Evil Requiem has already sold six million units, Capcom has just revealed. Better yet, it is the fastest that a Resident Evil game has hit this milestone, with the latest entry off to an incredibly strong start.

As such, Capcom has reassured fans that new content, like updates and DLC, is on the way. It isn't spilling the beans on what exactly this will look like, but we're told to expect "ongoing support and additional game content" at some point down the line, whenever that might be.

With six million sales in the bag, Requiem is still far off from outselling other games in the series, but it's in a great spot so soon after launch.

But what does the competition look like? Game sales over the years can be hard to track down, as eventually, publishers stop giving us regular updates. Sometimes they will drop some revised figures, just like Nintendo and PlayStation do with their older consoles, but otherwise, we have to rely on a variety of sources to try to figure out the sales of older products.
