Between the Pokopia hype train and the reveal of Gen 10, the announcement that Pokemon FireRed & LeafGreen were coming to Nintendo Switch feels like a lifetime ago. You might have forgotten that the ports are even getting their own anniversary bundles. If you liked the look of them, or if this is the first you're hearing about them, you'll be able to place a pre-order for the bundles starting tomorrow.
As confirmed via the games' respective store pages on the Japanese Pokemon Center website, pre-orders for the FireRed & LeafGreen Special Edition bundle will begin on March 17, 2026. The start time is listed as 6 pm, which I'm assuming will be 6 pm JST even though the specific timezone isn't stated.
That means an early start for those of you in the US who want to make sure you get your hands on one of these, as 6 pm in Japan is 5 am EST. That's if you can even make it through the international shipping of it all. These special editions are only being released in Japan, and it's unclear if they will be shipped internationally.
