Build A Rocket Boy faces another challenge, now losing its publishing partner. IOI Partners, the publishing arm of IOI Interactive, has announced that its work on MindsEye has come to an end, and both parties are scrapping future work that was planned.
Because of this, those who stuck with MindsEye throughout all of the negative press and reviews will no longer get the Hitman crossover event they were promised last summer. We don't get an explanation for this cancellation, but given that Build A Rocket Boy has rolled out layoffs and is facing pressure over how it allegedly treated its employees, I am sure we can hazard a guess.
IOI announced its departure from MindsEye with a short statement.
"IOI Partners and Build A Rocket Boy today announce the conclusion of their publishing collaboration for MindsEye, effective 16 March 2026, with Build A Rocket Boy assuming sole publishing responsibilities going forward," the statement opens.
We're told that the two will be "coordinating closely to ensure a seamless transition" in the coming weeks, but beyond that, the two are parting ways. Which means scrapping a future event.
