Death Stranding 2's PC Build Has Reportedly Been Leaked And People Are Already Playing It

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach improved on Kojima's previous games in many ways, but it unfortunately didn't win too many awards to show for it. While it sure was popular at launch, the numbers have understandably reduced since then, as most people may have finished it. However, with its PC launch set for tomorrow, you can expect those numbers to skyrocket again.

Unfortunately for Kojima Productions, it seems the Steam build of the game has reportedly leaked and is already making the rounds on several piracy websites (thanks, PC Gamer). While no specifics have been mentioned in order to limit the piracy, a piracy-focused subreddit revealed that the leak came from Steam itself.

While the game is available to preload on Steam, it seems unencrypted files were accidentally made available. Though it's not clear how long they were up, it was enough time for pirates to download all 113GB. Since Death Stranding 2 doesn't use Denuvo DRM, it was pretty easy for them to pirate it as well.

Certain piracy websites have already listed this version of the game, which is playable right now. However, this version of the game will obviously be missing the online 'Strand'...
