Square Enix has announced the release date for upcoming arena fighter Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, which collects some of the most iconic characters from across the franchise and pits them against each other in boss battle races.
Per a new trailer, Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy will launch on Android and iOS on March 24th. No release has been announced for PC or consoles, unfortunately, so you're gonna have to pull out your phone or tablet to play this one.
Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy was first announced back in October, and despite the name, it's not actually a conventional Dissidia title; instead, it's a 3v3 arena fighter that sees two teams of characters competing with one another to be the first to take down a boss.
The game features redesigned versions of classic Final Fantasy characters like Final Fantasy IX's Zidane Tribal, Final Fantasy XV's Prompto Argentum, and Final Fantasy VII's iconic hero Cloud, among others.
Gameplay-wise, games see players hunting monsters near crystals in order to purify them and rack up the Bravery resource, which can then be used to damage bosses. You'll need to use everything at your disposal to beat bosses quicker than your rivals....
