Shinobi: Art of Vengeance's wonderfully bizarre Sega Villains DLC finally has a release date of April 3, along with one of the coolest trailers I've ever seen of Joe going up against Dr Eggman, Majima, and Death Adder.
Although Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Hollow Knight: Silksong stole most of the air out of the room last year, I'd die on the hill that 2025's best game was Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. Shinobi's gorgeous visuals, razor-sharp combat, and satisfyingly tough platforming hit incredibly hard, resulting in it getting a perfect 5/5 score from me.
As if I didn't already love Art of Vengeance enough, Sega announced shortly after the game's launch that it'd be getting a big expansion focused on Sega Villains, including Sonic's Dr Eggman, Yakuza's Majima Goro, and Golden Axe's Death Adder. It's been a while since we've heard about that DLC, but it's finally back with a release date that's not far off at all.
