Fortnite's Battle Bus Will Be Driven By A Randomly Selected Player Each Match This Season

Fortnite's Chapter 7 Season 2 update will be live by the time you read this, and with it comes the return of The Foundation - that's the character who looks like The Rock - and the controversial V-Bucks price rise. What we didn't know before today's update dropped is that, for the first time ever, we're now in charge of driving the Battle Bus.

The Battle Bus is synonymous with Fortnite. So much so that it was one of the first elements from the game to be turned into a Lego set. The bus drives in a straight line over the map at the beginning of each match, dropping players off as it goes. However, in Season 2, one of its passengers will be randomly selected to sit behind the wheel of the bus and steer it off its pre-plotted, typically straight course.

The obvious bonus of being able to choose in which direction the Battle Bus heads is veering towards where you want to land. There's more to it than that, though. Today's update has also placed XP rings in the sky. Drive the bus through those rings, and you'll get additional XP. That's XP for everyone...
