US sales analysis firm Circana has released its gaming sales data roundup for February, and none other than horror game Resident Evil Requiem has taken the top spot for the month, as well as for the year as a whole so far.
In a thread on Bluesky, the ever-reliable Mat Piscatella reveals that Resident Evil Requiem topped the all-format sales chart for February, as well as the year-to-date chart. It's not particularly surprising when considering the game's exemplary sales performance since launch.
Second place in February goes to NBA 2K26, a perennially popular entry, although it's a bit of an "always the bridesmaid, never the bride" situation; the game also found itself in second place last month, having been beaten out by Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
Activision's latest first-person shooter finds itself in third place for February, with Minecraft in fourth and Sony's bug shooter Helldivers 2 (yes, alright, you also shoot other things) in fifth.
EA takes the next three spots with EA Sports FC 26, Battlefield 6, and Madden NFL 26 respectively, and the top ten is rounded out by Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined in ninth place and Grand...
