Developer and publisher Pearl Abyss has announced that its sandbox action RPG Crimson Desert, which also serves as the studio's single-player debut, has already hit a major sales milestone.

Crimson Desert launched just yesterday, but despite that, Pearl Abyss announced today that the game has passed two million sales already. The studio describes itself as "incredibly humbled" by Crimson Desert's success.

Although the game has launched to a rapturous reception (in sales terms, at least), Pearl Abyss says it's not resting on its laurels; the developer has promised to "listen closely" to community feedback and to "make improvements quickly" in order to ensure Crimson Desert is "even more enjoyable" for players.

If you're not familiar with Crimson Desert, it's an open-world action RPG developed and published by Black Desert Online studio Pearl Abyss. The game sees protagonist Kliff attempting to rebuild his broken faction after a raid by rivals kills many of his compatriots.

Crimson Desert takes place in the world of Pywel, which you can explore in its entirety. Scale is very much the name of the game here; the world is massive, and there's plenty to see and do if you're the exploration type.
