Todd Howard Says Fallout And Skyrim's Popularity Means There's No Rush For The Elder Scrolls 6

It's no secret that video game fans, specifically those of Bethesda's sprawling video games, have been waiting for eons for The Elder Scrolls 6. Because, ever since its reveal back in 2018, things have been radio silent, and it sounds like things will stay that way for some time.

If you're looking for someone to blame, then it might be Bethesda fans themselves. Because it seems like, based off Todd Howards' words, that the studio isn't in a rush to push out The Elder Scrolls 6, not at least while people are still engaging with Fallout and the last The Elder Scrolls title, Skyrim.

Skyrim arrived on Nintendo Switch 2 last week, and it's about to be followed up by another video game legend.

Of course, Bethesda constantly re-releasing Skyrim doesn't help things, either.

In a roundtable interview attended by GamesRadar, Howard spoke extensively about the circumstances that have put The Elder Scrolls 6 seemingly on the back-burner, much to the dismay of gamers.

In speaking about the length of time it's taken to get TES 6 out the door, compared to other titles, Howard also pointed to the popularity of those other titles.
