Fortnite's new Squibbly skin seems to confirm once and for all that Chapter 7, Season 2 was originally meant to be about vikings, before being replaced with the current theme.

In some cases, though, Epic is actually the one to hint at what's being worked on for Fortnite, as it sometimes sends out surveys for both potential collaborations and skins. One example of this was a recent character survey that included a bunch of skins themed around vikings and Norse mythology, suggesting that was going to be a season in the future.
