We're So Desperate For Kingdom Hearts News That A Brief Shoutout From Nomura Has Us All Excited

Kingdom Hearts fans are so starving for any kind of news that an incredibly brief shout-out from Tetsuya Nomura in an interview about Dissidia Duellum is a genuine surprise.

I probably don't need to tell you that it's been a really long time since Kingdom Hearts has given us anything to get excited about. Not only did Missing Link get cancelled out of nowhere after looking like the only thing to tide us over until a mainline game, but we've also only had a few make-good screenshots of Kingdom Hearts 4 in the nearly four years since it was revealed.

That's made it so that any mention of Kingdom Hearts instantly pricks up everyone's ears, even if it's just a crumb of recognition. Sometimes it's actually worth getting excited about, like when Nomura recently said development on KH4 was going as planned, and other times it's just a reminder of how dry things have been. This is sadly one of those second times.
