God of War Sons of Sparta may have received fairly mixed reviews, but it seems to be a surefire success for PlayStation, as it's got a respectable 14th place in Circana's February sales report.
When God of War Sons of Sparta was shadowdropped out of nowhere at last month's State of Play, it seemed like a dream come true for fans of the series who have been waiting for the series to return. In practise, though, Sons of Sparta seems to have been just fine for a lot of players, as it currently sits as the worst-reviewed God of War game at a middling 64 on Metacritic.
Sons of Sparta at least faired much better on the PlayStation Store, as it has a 4.1 out of 5 stars.
Even with those mixed reviews and some particularly harsh comments from series creator David Jaffe, it seems like it might have quietly been quite successful for PlayStation. Sales data for February has been shared by Circana, and Sons of Sparta has a strong spot among the month's best-sellers.
