The pace at which Pokemon Pokopia sold out of physical copies when it launched would suggest Nintendo wasn't prepared for just how popular the spinoff was going to be. However, a tease at the end of the latest episode of the anime suggests The Pokemon Company might have had an inkling fans were going to love its quirky new game.
At the end of the most recent episode of Pokemon Horizons, a teaser plays that begins with Captain Pikachu facing away from the camera. Pikachu then transforms into a Ditto, but we're not shown or told anything more about what that might mean for the series outside of being told to tune back in next month on April 17.
The mere appearance of Ditto in a teaser isn't confirmation that we're going to be getting stuff from Pokopia in Pokemon Horizons, of course. However, considering the timing of the tease and Pokemon's penchant for synergy, it's a logical leap to make. What fans are trying to figure out is just how much Pokopia we're going to get.
Leakers have claimed the anime will make crossovers with not just Pokopia but also Pokémon's mobile games in the near future (via Reddit)....
