Arc System Works has revealed Guilty Gear Strive Version 2.0, the next major update for the long-running fighting game, and it'll introduce a brand new mechanic to get to grips with.
In a new trailer shown during the Arc World Tour Finals over the weekend, Guilty Gear Strive Version 2.0 was announced, and it'll pack in "comprehensive battle balance adjustments", alongside new special moves for characters. The update is launching on April 9th.
The biggest new addition, however, is the Counter Blitz mechanic, which looks like it'll augment counters with new combo opportunities. If you're the kind of player who likes to wait until you get your moment to strike back against an oppressive opponent, then this could well be for you.
A new Blazing Pass system, which sounds a lot like your standard battle pass, will be introduced with this update as well, allowing you to "earn in-game rewards based on [your] in-game progression". It looks like these rewards will include new outfits and accessories for fighters, plus more.
