Last week, Tekken 8 received a major update as part of its Season 3 content. The season, which is set to introduce Kunimitsu, Bob, and Roger Jr., was supposed to be a revival of the title, which had been left floundering after Season 2.
Season 2 plummeted the game to new lows, and despite its director, Katsuhiro Harada, suggesting that the complaints were only exacerbated by the internet and thatthings weren't as bad as suggested, players disagreed.
Now, Season 3's balance update is live, and it's safe to say it hasn't gone down well with players, who suggest that Bandai Namco is "disrespecting the fanbase" with the changes it made.
A major reason as to why fans were frustrated with Tekken 8's second season was balance. Too many characters were buffed offensively, with limited defensive buffs, making the game feel like an all-out assault, rather than skilled technical battles. That has only gotten worse with Season 3.
More offensive buffs and fewer defensive ones have made Tekken 8 more offense-focused than ever, and it's led players to review-bomb the game on Steam.
Since the Season 3 update, Tekken 8 has received just 104 positive reviews...
