Crimson Desert Fans Are Already Fixing The Controls

Crimson Desert is dividing critics and players alike, but there are a few things we mostly all agree upon. For starters, Kliff is a pretty rubbish protagonist. But the main point of contention that everyone agrees on is that the controls are not great.

Unintuitive and frustrating, I couldn't quite believe what I was being shown when I previewed Crimson Desert at Gamescom last year, and it hasn't gotten any better since launch. It's so rough that developer Pearl Abyss has admitted that changes are needed and has started making improvements with the last update.

However, if you don't want to keep waiting for patches, you're in luck - as long as you're on PC. Some of the first mods to be made for Crimson Desert make changes to the control scheme, whether it's players sharing what remaps have worked best for them, or tweaking specific actions so they're less frustrating to pull off.
