GreedFall and Blood Bowl Developers File for Insolvency Alongside Nacon | TechRaptor

As part of publisher Nacon's ongoing financial woes, two major French developers, namely Blood Bowl's Cyanide and GreedFall's Spiders, have also filed for insolvency themselves.

In a Nacon press release, the publisher reveals that Cyanide and Spiders have "filed for insolvency...and requested the opening of judicial reorganization proceedings in their favor". As for Nacon itself, the publisher says it has "begun work on the outline of a restructuring plan", and you know what that probably means.

Cyanide and Spiders aren't the only two studios filing for insolvency, either. They join fellow Nacon subsidiaries Nacon Tech, which is the publisher's motion capture wing, and Kylotonn, the company responsible for developing Nacon's WRC series (as well as Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown).

These developer insolvencies follow on from that of publisher Nacon, which the studio announced just days after revealing its latest Nacon Connect presentation. Needless to say, said presentation was subsequently delayed to May.

In case you need a reminder, insolvency doesn't necessarily mean a company is going to shut down; it effectively means that a studio isn't capable of paying back its debts or that the studio's liabilities exceed its assets.
