The Steam Store Is Getting a Refresh With New Sections and More | TechRaptor

Valve has announced a new Steam store refresh that you can try out right now, and it boasts an updated design for the store itself, plus new sections with extra info in them and more.

In a Steam post (appropriately enough) announcing the refresh, Valve says the redesigned version of the Store's landing page is available now as part of the latest Steam beta. If you're using the standard Steam client, you won't be able to see it yet.

You can look forward to an overall refresh to the design of the Steam store, which Valve says "aims to make the store home feel more cohesive". New sections have been introduced, as have "new ways for you to discover and learn about games".

In the Featured & Recommended section, you should now see more info regarding exactly why you're getting those recommendations, and you'll also see a round-up of user reviews for the game on Steam.

Smaller tweaks include discounts and events using larger game artwork, as well as the ability to disable "micro-trailer hovers and animated marketing assets" should you wish to. When many platforms don't allow you to do this, it's nice to see Valve offering customization options....
