In "news designed specifically for me," Square Enix is lifting a sizable number of restrictions from Final Fantasy 14's cash shop, permitting players to send their friends far more than what had previously been available.

Whereas I've frequently been prevented from giving my dear comrades the stuff I wish to help them acquire, Yoshi-P and his own batch of friends have seen fit to allow me the humble opportunity to shove more money in their direction for the betterment of my little community. Let's all rejoice by going over everything new that can finally be gifted.

Square is sort've selling this like it's a paradigm shift in entertainment (not really, I'm being dramatic), but these rudimentary aspects of the Online Store—commonly referred to incorrectly by many, including myself, as the Mog Shop—can now be sent to friends and enemies across the world. Run-on sentence aside, I'm honestly pretty stoked, because I'll often fill up on Crysta, seek to treat my cherished companions to a surprise present, and then realize that I can't because of some silly restriction.
