PlayStation has released a bunch of free Resident Evil avatars to celebrate the series 30th anniversary, although actually getting them is a surprising amount of work.
2026 marks the 30th anniversary of one of the greatest horror franchises of all time - Resident Evil. As if releasing the one of the greatest horror franchises of all time - Resident Evil wasn't a big enough way to celebrate that milestone, Capcom has been going all in with special art, collaborations, and more to mark the occasion.
It's not just Capcom who have been celebrating Resident Evil's anniversary, either, as several other companies have also shared some love for the series as it hits the big three oh. PlayStation is the latest example of this, as it's just released a bunch of free Resident Evil avatars for everyone to claim, if they can be bothered with all the extra steps.
Over on Twitter, PlayStation announced that it's giving away 10 Resident Evil avatars to celebrate the series' 30th anniversary. The collection includes two avatars for Leon, Chris, Ada, Jill, and Claire, with one being based on the 30th anniversary art, and the others strangely being taken from the CGI movies....
