Embark Studios has released the latest update for extraction shooter Arc Raiders, and it's got a brand new loot-filled foe for you to take down, plus new weapons and lots more.
As outlined in a blog post, the new Close Scrutiny map condition is the first ever Arc Operation, and Embark says this one is "certainly not for the faint of heart". It involves taking down a huge, heavily-guarded ARC Assessor in order to get at the loot within.
While the ARC Assessor is on the map, loot elsewhere will be diminished, so Embark wants you to find the Assessor and get involved in looting it. Make sure you bear that in mind if you're heading into a game anytime soon.
As well as this new map condition, you'll also have to contend with the new ARC Vaporizer enemy type, which boasts "devastating laser attacks and idiosyncratic attack patterns". You'll find them hovering around the Assessor.
