According to a new report, the first official World of Warcraft Pride event is set to take place in June, and it'll make a long-running community event that raises money for charity official.
As reported by Wowhead, datamining suggests that the community Running of the Trolls event, which has taken place every year for the last twelve years on the Feathermoon server, will now be made official in the form of the Darkspear Dash.
The event will begin on the Echo Isles, which is where Troll players start their journey, and a parade will then proceed from there to Silvermoon City, where it will culminate in an "extravagant pool party", as Wowhead puts it.
The Running of the Trolls event was originally created by World of Warcraft community members to support The Trevor Project, a charity that provides suicide prevention and mental health support services for LGBTQ+ individuals. Presumably, Blizzard's version of the event will also support this charity.
