Xbox has announced the date and time for its yearly summer showcase in 2026, and the studio has also revealed that Gears of War: E-Day is getting its own Direct show immediately afterwards.
As announced in an Xbox Wire blog post, the Xbox Games Showcase for summer 2026 will be held on June 7th at 10am Pacific (that's 1pm Eastern and 6pm BST). Xbox is promising "huge news on upcoming titles", as well as "first gameplay looks" from both first-party and third-party games.
You can also expect "new details, gameplay, and insights" for Gears of War: E-Day, which has been relatively quiet since it was announced back in 2024. Could a release date be on the cards? Given that the game is still due to launch this year, it seems almost certain.
Playground Games' Fable reboot is also set to arrive sometime this year, so I think we'll probably hear more about that, too. Wishlist-wise, I'd love to see Hideo Kojima's profoundly weird-looking OD and inXile's promising Clockwork Revolution featured during the show.
