Hytale has received a brand new update, and this one's got hundreds of new blocks for you to experiment with, plus a new proximity chat feature and more.
As revealed in the official patch notes for Update 4 (catchy name, right?), "around 500" new blocks have been introduced as part of this latest patch, including sets for materials like limestone, chalk, and slate.
If you're socially-minded while playing Hytale, you'll be pleased to know a new proximity voice chat feature has been added, allowing you to enjoy the game's blocky sandbox world alongside others more easily. Communication has never been so easy (in Hytale, that is; pre-existing communication issues may still apply).
Voice chat is, naturally, disabled by default, and you can't enable it for younger users. You can also look forward to different audio effects based on where you are in Hytale's world, which is a nice touch.
As well as proximity chat, a new emote wheel has been added, so you should have a range of new ways to express yourself even if you don't feel like chatting with your fellow players.
