Whenever new Marvel Rivals skins are revealed, there's bound to be controversy. With so many characters on the roster, many players will leave the season empty-handed, as their main is overlooked once more. Such is the case with this season, as Invisible Woman is getting yet another skin, while characters like Black Widow are left behind.
Now, it's gotten so bad that Marvel Rivals insider Miller Ross is explaining how this all works, and how the distribution of skins is sort of our own fault. Or at least, it could partially be our fault, because NetEase wants to sell skins that people actually buy - and we keep buying them.
This conversation kicked off when someone asked Ross why support characters get all the legendary skins. According to Ross, the answer is simple: NetEase will always "go where the money is".
"Every question about cosmetics can be answered by money," he says. "If a character's skins sell better, they get more. If their legendary skins sell just as well, they get more. This is how the developers keep the lights on, so there's no room for personal bias."
