Don't Worry, Dispatch Won't Be Censored On Xbox

Dispatch initially launched on PS5 and PC last year, but it was brought to Nintendo Switch shortly after in January 2026, albeit with heavy censorship.

AdHoc levied the blame at Nintendo, but Nintendo said that it "does not make changes to partner content," pointing the finger right back at them. It's clearly a complex situation, and while certain scenes have been updated post-launch, indicating that the team may have been too cautious, the Switch version is still noticeably tamer than other ports.

So, when AdHoc appeared at the Xbox Partner Showcase yesterday to reveal that Dispatch would finally be launching on the Series X/S, players had one question: will it be censored like the Switch 2 port?

"The Xbox version of Dispatch will be the same full release as the original PC and PlayStation versions," the studio replied. It's hardly surprising, given that Xbox and PS5 ports rarely stray too far apart, with Nintendo being the more family-friendly outlier, but the clarification was appreciated by fans nonetheless.

With this new port, Dispatch will soon be available on all major platforms. And while there's no word yet on when exactly we can expect AdHoc's hit superhero workplace...
